I tried turning off the esp first but it didnt pick up the crash mod. Or do I really have to step back to having an identical set of plugins as when I reinstalled? (regressing to identical versions is going to be challenging/impossible though). (come to think of it, this came from Hackmasters Little Keep on the Borderlands). I also started using Wrye Bash which manages conflicts far better than NMM, and seems pretty intelligent at removing things unlike NMM. When I reinstalled, I took the opportunity of removing a couple of mods I wasn't using or that bothered about, updated any that were in need, and added a couple of new ones. I found a tool called savegamescanner, which shows installed plugins and various stats, and let's me inspect Form IDs in save (I don't know what I'm looking at here ) What it does show though, is all the bloat is in the papyrus section.Īre there any tools that can help pin down what's causing the Papyrus bloat? Specifically which mod? Maybe tools to clean up saves? I was starting to get in-game stuttering/pausing, setting me off trying to get to the bottom of this. In less than 8 hours play since reinstall save files have gone from around 8.5M to around 100M! It had taken 100 hours+ to get to 8M saves.
